Sage (Lat. Salvia Officinalis) is a plant from the Lyme family, which is a perennial semi-shrub. It comes from the countries of the Mediterranean Sea, but the cultivation of sage is carried out in many places around the world. Its unique properties have been known for centuries - the most valuable part of the plant are the leaves, which are used to produce essential oil with health-promoting properties. The flowers and stems are used much less frequently.
