White Horehound Herb (Marrubium vulgare L.) is a universal herb with wide healing properties. In ancient times it was believed that white horehound was the antidote which was fending off evil forces. In the past, patients suffering from tuberculosis were given white horehound juice with honey. In the Middle Ages this herb was commonly cultivated in monastery gardens, and in the 17th century it was used for the production of beer.

Dosage and how to use
Infusion
A tablespoon of the herb is brewed in 200ml of water for half an hour. Drink in several portions in case of liver problems. Externally, it is brewed with chamomile during discharge and for gargling.
Chronic cough syrup
Heat the infusion of 100g of herb for 3/4 liter of water with 0.5kg of sugar until the consistency of a syrup. A spoonful is drunk 3, 4 times a day.

Contraindications
It is not used during pregnancy. Large doses of white horehound herbs lower blood pressure.
