Dandelion leaf (lat. Taraxacum Officinale) has many medicinal properties. Amongst other things, dandelion has anti-diabetic and potentially anti-cancer properties, it also supports liver function.
Dandelion is a collective term for plants in the genus Dandelion, being a collective name for small species or referring to a single species found in a small area in Scandinavia and Europe. Over 200 species have been recorded in Poland. It grows in ruderal habitats, meadows, light forests and grasslands. Dandelion plants are used as edible, medicinal and fodder plants, while in cultivation they are regarded as weeds. Dandelions are characterised by the intense yellow colour of their flowers and, when picked, the characteristic white juice that stains fingers and clothes flows from their broken stem. It is common and has a very high health-promoting potential.

Dandelion preparations are also ordered in the case of impaired renal function and reduction of the daily amount of urine, as well as swelling caused by cardiovascular and kidney disorders;
Incidentally, it is used in rheumatism, gout, obesity, acne, pre-diabetes and the onset of diabetes.
Externally, the dandelion is used for cosmetic baths, and the fresh milk juice is used for compresses for warts, warts and condylomas. The flowers of the herb are very helpful in chronic catarrh of the mouth, throat and bronchi.

Dosage and how to use

Pour a little water over the chopped leaves and bring to a boil. After cooling, apply on face for about 15 minutes. The basic version can be enriched with chamomile.

A method of preparing

1. Pour water at 100 ° C on 1 teaspoon of herb (in the proportion of 1 teaspoon per 250 ml). Extraction time 15 min. then strain.
