Common Mallow (lat. Malvae Silvestris L.) due to the wealth of valuable substances - also an important medicinal and cosmetic raw material. All because of the very rare anthocyanins - malvidin, peonidin and delphinidin - which are found in flowers with dark, almost black petals. Mallow also contains large amounts of mucus substances (up to 12 percent), and also flavonoids (kaempferol, quercetin, myricetin), uronic acids, sugar alcohols, phytoestrogens flavonoids, sugars, tannins, phenolic acids, pectins, resins and minerals. Such a rich composition made ornamental mallow flowers a highly valuable herbal raw material. They are also used in the food industry to color sweets, beverages and syrups.

  • Thanks to the anti-inflammatory flavonoids and anthocyanins as well as the soothing mucus compounds, the infusion perfectly nourishes the skin;

Dosage and how to use

Infusion

Pour 2 tablespoons of mallow with a glass of boiling water, set aside for 20 minutes. After this time, bring to a boil and set aside again for 20-30 minutes. Strain - drink the infusion in the morning on an empty stomach to regulate menstruation, relieve menopause and stomach problems.

Contraindications 

Although the herb or flower of mallow is not abortive, it is not recommended to use mallow tea during pregnancy and lactation. Another contraindication is hypersensitivity to the plant. It is also worth remembering that the use of plant mucus materials may delay or reduce the absorption of drugs taken at the same time, hence the recommended behavior is at least 2 hours apart.
