Birch Leaf (lat. Betulae L.) is a herb found all over the world. The plant was already known in the Slavic region, where it was considered a symbol of life, fertility and wisdom. Its twigs were used in many rituals and ceremonies. To this day, they are present at four altars and in the temple during the celebration of Corpus Christi in the Roman Catholic church. Birch was supposed to protect against evil spirits, diseases and crop failure. Its twigs were placed in the ground in the fields to ensure a rich harvest. When using birch leaves with other drugs, care should be taken as they interact with them. First of all, this raw material must not be combined with diuretics. This group of drugs includes chlorothiazide, chlorthalidone, furosemide, and hydrochlorothiazide. This combination causes an increased loss of water from the body. This leads to dehydration of the body. The symptoms of this condition are dizziness and low blood pressure. Contraindications
Birch preparations should not be used during antiviral therapy. The infusion of its leaves causes the expulsion of all foreign substances from the body, including drugs.
